J’Burgh is the place to find your Jewish social life in the 412!
J’Burgh is a project of the Hillel Jewish University Center (JUC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We focus on building dynamic and thriving communities of interest for Jewish young adults who live, work, and study in the Greater Pittsburgh area. J’Burgh is here to connect with you Jewish resources and events, and if you don’t see it we will make it, or find another source in our community who can. Through monthly programming and events, we strive to connect people throughout our city, building a community and a place for young Jews to call home.
In the last five years Pittsburgh’s Jewish young adult community has grown by 7%, and is expected to grow exponentially over the foreseeable future. This is great news for J’Burgh as our primary goal is to raise awareness of how much Pittsburgh has to offer for Jewish young adults and, in turn, encourage them to make Pittsburgh their home. J’Burgh helps to grow the Pittsburgh Jewish population while adding to the overall success of Pittsburgh as a thriving city by rethinking what it means to be young and Jewish in an increasingly global and pluralistic world. J’Burgh works to give the Jewish young adults of Pittsburgh opportunities to find meaning in their Jewish identity and the feeling of being part of a thriving, growing, and revolutionary community.
